About Our Staff

Naomi Project Director Jordan Bruxvoort previously served as the director of the Micah Center, a coalition of churches in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  During Jordan’s time at the Micah Center, the organization spearheaded a campaign which passed a responsible contracting policy with the city of Grand Rapids in 2012 and started a workers’ center in 2014.

Outreach to Women Workers

Carmen Vega has been involved with the Naomi Project since the beginning–going with us to educate people about their rights at churches and in the community in addition to serving on our board.  Now thanks to a recent grant from the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, the Naomi Project was able to hire Carmen part-time to focus on vulnerable women workers.  Carmen’s warm personality and gift of listening to others will be very useful as she builds relationships with women who may be facing abuse and exploitation and invites these women to exercise their rights.
