Accompanying Survivors

Naomi Project provides direct services–rent support, food assistance, medical/dental care, and other essentials–to survivors of human trafficking in South Dakota through a partnership with the Trafficking Victims Assistance Program.

Through our community focused model, survivors often become members and eventual leaders in the Naomi Project. They also often do their own organizing, through their church or another venue of community engagement.

  • Our organizers work with federal partners to investigate worksites and companies where we believe there might be cases of human trafficking.

  • We provide direct assistance through federal programs to survivors as they apply for their nonimmigrant T visas through USCIS.

  • We continue to work with survivors, if they are willing, such that they can become leaders in our community, and we can continue building worker power in South Dakota.
